With Real Madrid squandering points against Sevilla, Barcelona has a chance to reclaim position at the summit of La Liga, which has become a tight fight. Xavi’s side are four points off the top of the table after drawing with Granada before the international break, but a win and some help can cut the deficit to one point.

In those cases, Bilbao have scored 10 goals and allowed two but facing the top half, they have scored four goals allowing nine which won’t get the job done. Facing an ailing Barcelona is a good time to right the ship but away from home, it won’t inspire much confidence.
