Pep Guardiola opens up on his desire to keep James McAtee who is seen to be a replacement for Kevin de Bruyne
James McAtee who is a graduate of the Manchester City academy is seen as a potential replacement for the outgoing Kevin de Bruyne.
His skillset, vision and understanding of the game makes him ideal candidate to replace the de Bruyne.
Pep Guardiola have always been a fan of the young English and have always been clear and open about his desire to see McAtee play more for the club.
Kevin de Bruyne on the other hand announced that he will be leaving Manchester City after the season as his contract comes to an end.
Pep Guardiola: “For the age, I’d like McAtee to stay next season”.
“I understand players want more minutes. I’d like him to stay, he’s an Academy player, knows the patterns, a lovely person, lovely guy. He trains really good, plays different positions”.
