
Ghana Black Stars striker, Jordan Ayew says his appointment as the substantive caption of team was meant to happen.
Jordan has play more than 100 games for the Senior national team of Ghana since joining in 20210. He has always avail himself for call-ups and selection, giving the same feeling of his brother, Andre Ayew, and father, Abedi Pele.
After Jordan Ayew has finally followed the footsteps of his father and brother Andre to become the first captain of Black Stars ahead of the March’s lineup of matches. This has bring a lot of disccussion about how Ghana changes captains or leadership frequently.

Jordan takes over from his brother Andre Ayew, although Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey deputised in his absence.
Jordan, who is the most recent Ayew to don the armband after his father and brother, told Joy Sports that his new job was definitely going to materialize.

“I believe in destiny. I believe [becoming Ghana captain] was probably written in the stars,” he said.
In the penultimate match of the Black Stars’ lackluster 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, Jordan captained Ghana against Angola.
