The 2022 world cup winner announced at the end of the season that he will be joining the Major League Soccer after the expiration of his two-year contract with the Ligue 1 giants.

Despite pursuits from former club FC Barcelona and the Saudi league, Messi who is considered by many as the greatest of all time chose to join Inter Miami and he will be joined by former teammate Sergio Busquets and ex-Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino.
Reports from suggest that Inter Miami has plans of unveiling Lionel Messi, and even broadcast it during halftime of the Gold Cup final this Sunday.
They plan for the Argentine maestro to have his debut on 21st July 2023.
