Tedesco dismissed by RB Leipzig

German side RB Leipzig has dismissed head coach Domenico Tedesco after nine months in charge of the club.

The former Spartak Moscow manager was dismissed after losing 4-1 at home to Shakhtar Donetsk on the opening day of the UCL.

He has also had a poor start in the German Bundesliga after winning just one out of five league matches.

“RB Leipzig have parted company with Domenico Tedesco with immediate effect,” read an official club statement posted to social media.

“Assistant coaches Andreas Hinkel and Max Urwantschky have also left the club. RB Leipzig will announce his successor in due course.”
