Career records of Randy Couture
Randy Couture is one of the most successful fighters in UFC history, having fought twenty-four times. He holds the UFC record for the most consecutive title defenses, with three, and he’s the only fighter to reclaim the title three times after induction into the Hall of Fame.
This record also represents the longest period as a champion combined, which is impressive as it means that he’s consistently at the top of his game.
Before turning professional, Randy Couture had a successful amateur career as a wrestling amateur. He earned three Pan American Games medals and was the National Greco-Roman champion. He also received three All-American honors while in college, and was the runner-up for national powerhouse Oklahoma State.
He won the UFC Heavyweight Championship at UFC 68, where he defeated Tim Sylvia with a high kick and a left arm break.

Aside from a stellar career in the UFC, Randy Couture has also carved a niche in the world of entertainment with a clothing line and gyms. He has also founded a foundation to help wounded veterans. He also is an accredited actor, starring in hit television series like Hawaii Five O.
In the UFC, Randy Couture fought fellow UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman at UFC 109. The two had previously fought at UFC 17 in 1998, but Couture suffered an injury that forced the bout to be called off.
The next fight, “Champion vs. Champion”, was a freestyle match in which Couture grazed the opponent’s right eye with a left hook. This fight resulted in a draw, but the following year, Couture and Belfort fought a rubber match.
After two losses, Couture moved up to light heavyweight and faced top contender Chuck Liddell for the UFC Interim Light Heavyweight Championship. In round three, Couture knocked out the former champ with a TKO. He was then the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two different weight classes.
He then defended his title against his old rival, Vitor Belfort, but lost the game due to injury. In the rubber fight, Couture won a unanimous decision.
Randy Couture is an American mixed martial artist who began competing in the UFC in 1984 and fought his first bout at UFC thirteen. He went on to defeat Maurice Smith by decision at UFC Japan in 1991.

Anderson Silva is another legendary fighter who has an impressive record in the UFC. His most consecutive victories are nine, and he’s a favorite with fans.
